About
Tanya Chivers Mein - Bushwalking Guide, Meditation Facilitator and Mindset Mentor
My love for the outdoors began as a child, gardening and bushwalking. I subsequently worked in the environmental and sustainability field with volunteers and facilitating community workshops for 20years. It was there, I discovered the joy in connecting with, inspiring and motivating others to take steps to make change. I still work in this field for Blue Mountains City Council with the First Nations Team and as a Discovery Ranger for National Parks & Wildlife Service.
Through Deep Breath Nature Therapy, I am bringing together my knowledge of the outdoors, my passion for helping people and doing it with an irrepressible energy and authenticity.
YOU ARE INVITED into our world heritage area to explore, enjoy and appreciate the wonders and beauty around and within you. To start the process of healing and self love through letting go, being present and taking responsibility. To be inspired and motivated to think differently and make changes in behaviour to find peace and joy in every day.
Known by the Japanese as ‘shinrinyoku’ or ‘forest bathing’ and as an essential element for the Traditional Custodians in connecting to Ngurra or country, Deep Breath Nature Therapy offers you slow time in nature. See the impossibly small and feel impossibly small as you are present and observant to the delights and wonders around you. A slow walk in nature, decreases stress hormones, heart rate and blood pressure while boosting your immune system. (Prof Miyazaki 2021). In the breath of the forest, find perspective, solace and connection and become part of the very story that is unfolding.
Today is the day to take a deep breath and show up for your life!
